Mark Smolka, founder’s son takes over
1979
Acquisition of a 22,000 sqft. Building in Saint-Léonard.
1980
Adam Murawski, brother-in-law of Mark Smolka, joins the company as vice president
1988
Construction of a 60,000 sq. Ft. Plant in Montreal (near the Louis-Hippolyte-Lafontaine tunnel). Start of production of monofilaments (extrusion)

ISO 9001 certification

Plant expansion to 122,000 sq. Ft.

Staff of 250 employees; activity 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; pool of 150 clients; range of 600 different products
